About the Role

Meesho’s Supplier Growth & Marketplace team is building the core technology platform that helps suppliers onboard, list products, and start selling with ease. As a Software Development Engineer – I (Android Developer), you will play a key role in shaping the most seamless seller experience in e-commerce This opportunity is perfect for freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience who have strong fundamentals in software development and a passion for Android technologies.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin
• Familiarity with Android SDK and ecosystem
• Understanding of Material Design principles and mobile UX patterns
• Hands-on experience with libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, etc.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and API consumption
• Knowledge of Git and CI tools
• Strong object-oriented programming and multi-threading skills
• Experience with MVVM architecture and testable code
• Debugging expertise, including performance tuning, memory leak detection, and usage of tools like ADB and Proguard
• Exposure to advanced Android concepts like Custom Views, Accessibility Services, and background processing

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Android features and applications
• Conduct code reviews and write unit/integration tests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Product Managers, and Designers
• Optimize app performance and resolve bugs
• Mentor interns and assist team members in technical challenges
